Despite being more than 2,000 years old, cash is still spry in the Americas. That’s one of the conclusions of the Americas Cash Index, the third installment in the PYMNTS.com Global Cash Index™ series powered by Cardtronics.
The index looks at the total number of payments made with cash and cash use as a percent of GDP, as well as projects changes in cash use based on proprietary data analysis. Countries included in the Americas study were Brazil, Mexico and the U.S.

- Between 2015 and 2020, cash share will increase
slightly by 0.3 percent.
